The Little Prince - vocabulary from chapter nr 9
When I was a teenager, I'd often meet up with my friends and we would organize a bonfire party. One time it was in my friend's garden. We had to tidy up the whole garden, pull up withered plants and place a few benches around the bonfire. We were proud of ourselves, because we placed benches steadily on the ground and our bonfire area looked good.
My friend's parents were away all weekend, so we took advantage of the opportunity to use their garden for our plans. We prepared some handy stuff, like warm drinks and extra wood to keep the fire burning. During the party we had to put up with strong and cold wind, but our gathering was so enjoyable, that we stayed in the garden until the fire had gone extinct. We decided to not prolong the party into the morning and cleaned up the garden after midnight. When we were on the way home we met my friend's parents. They seemed a little puzzled, but they never found out about our party in their garden.
Vocabulary:
