History - I have been deceived all my life.

        During childhood, I always adored my grandfather's stories about the old days. Later in school, I was fascinated by learning about the past of my country. But while studying for my final high school exams, I began to notice the differences between how school presented past facts and how source materials showed them. School had taught me things that did not always seem to line up with established facts. I realized that I was being deceived.  I decided that from then on, objective truth would be one of the most important values in my life. In retrospect, I think it was a very good and important decision.
